i have this inherited-from-my-mom feministy negative initial response to nips and tucks, yet when talking to karen i was like "oh. huh. okay. cool."
this was followed by the delightful conversation in which i somehow managed to tell her not to live up to her potential and *not* to be all she can be.
i'm a good friend.
